Democracy and our responsibilities ahead

The future of this nation lies in the Democratic progress and as a small country we must ensure that ours be the most unique and exemplary state of the world. People fear that the Democratization would deviate the concept of one Nation, one People but I would say till you believe that, your Nation is your first responsibility I see no reasons for citizens to be sacred or get demotivated against Democratic process. Thanks to our Kings, Leaders and forefathers for their pains and sacrifice that they had made in shaping the Nation to what it is today. The harmony and peace that we enjoy today is all because of the selfless efforts they had in preserving our glory and their visions to their future generation that is we today.

Now what goes through my mind is just being a citizen and enjoying all the facilities that government gives is not enough. As a citizen every one has a role to play, so I do too. It’s our fundamental duty to help this Nation grow and although we can’t see our future yet we must be prepared to times ahead.  I am very sure we will not just enjoy the glory, peace and harmony but we will face equal problems too. So we can’t panic at that moment but must be ready to tackle situations and work together as a united force with common interest as said ‘‘United we stand, Divided we fall’’.

Therefore we must continue to work, exhibit our dreams in making the nation grow and compete with the fast growing nations of the world. We are the youngest Democratic Country, which may make people to think that we are too immature but yet we have the oldest experience in watching the Democratic process of the world that makes us more superior than others. Hence it’s time for us to show the world that we are good enough to be taken as a role model Country with respect to Democratization.

 We can achieve this if we all work with complete dedication, sincerity and trustfulness. May God bless BHUTAN and the BHUTANESE people. Let us promise to serve the TSA_WA_SUM forever.
