The mad King

Once there was a king who was well respected and his people were so loyal to him. But misfortune had hit his country and there was heavy rainfall, which was mixed with contaminants in the sky. All the water supply sources were contaminated and the people drank the contaminated water. Since the water was contaminated all the citizens became mad as they drank it. Luckily the king used to drink water from the well that he had inside his palace. 

Therefore, except the king all his subjects were affected by the contaminated water who became mad. Now the king was so worried seeing the condition of his loyal subjects and was trying his best, thinking of ways to cure them. But unfortunately, to his surprise although all the citizens had gone mad but all those people started calling him as a mad king. Since all the people had gone mad, a normal king for mad people was a mad king. The king could not bear this. It was very painful for him to know that all his people calling him a mad king although he was mentally sound while his subjects were not. 

He had no other options left so he too drank the contaminated water to be all rite in the eyes of his subjects.Soon he drank the contaminated water like his people who then started telling that their king was healed and was all rite. Everyone became mad in this kingdom since then....
